Okay, here it comes. I’m sure few of you saw this coming and to be completely honest, so did I. Fashion Junkie is saying goodbye. After 5 completely incredible years, I’m now ending this chapter of my life. It turns out fashion blogging isn’t for me, so I’m turning back to my roots – personal blogging. This idea has been in my head for a while and it took me forever to finally accept it and say it out loud.
Fashion is still a big part of me, but not that big I’d call myself a fashion blogger, at least not anymore. Past few months it felt a bit odd to post under “Fashion Junkie” name, seeing the fashion posts were in minority.
Thinking about renaming the blog gave me creeps at first, but then it struck me. Conveniently, all my social channels were screaming it from the beginning – pelamarela. And it makes total sense! Fashion Junkie was a way of developing a public part of me, building up my confidence, style, personality even. But at one point, I stopped posting for myself and that’s the only thing I’m hoping to change with my new platform. But when all this begins? 2nd May will be the official launch of the new pelamarela.com, so get excited!
But before I really do this, as a last Fashion Junkie post, I’d like to thank all of you for reading, for helping me to bring it to life and keeping it alive for 5 years. It’s been a fun ride! Now, we’re onto the next chapter – see ya on the other side!
