I got so used to travelling with smaller luggage, that I don’t even think about booking the large suitcase on flights anymore. Thankfully, (since transport prices are going sky high) my wallet is quite grateful for that. I’d like to think that I’m pretty good at packing, but truthfully, I still often overpack or completely miss the season when picking clothes. However, I thought I’d share some of my discovered travel gems and I hope it will be of some use to you.
Beauty
I’ve been perfecting my beauty travel bag for some time now. Having a useful bag ready with all the everyday essentials without needing to pack the big-sized products or some second-tier alternatives.
The hunt has come to an end with Cadence magnetic travel containers: convenient, easily customisable and expandable, uniform and minimalistic, it’s what I really love about it (note to my EU readers, to avoid taxes&duties, check US Amazon). My favourite shampoos, conditioners and creams can now always come with me. And what can’t fit in those, I’ve stocked in travel sizes, so I always have them on hand.

Clothes
Clothes are the hardest to pack, personally. I want to have the widest array of options, in case the vibe I was in when packing, changes the minute I get to the destination. Spoiler, it happens all the time. But essentially, there are key pieces: basic tees and tops, a warm sweater (for colder seasons), pants that go with everything, a jacket (or a coat or at least something for the rain), a dress or skirt (for girly days), and something special to spice things up for evening outings or in general, when you feel like dressing up.
- Topshop Tees
- Zara Bodies
- Zara Stripped Sweater
- Zara Wide Leg Pants
- Asos Vegan Leather Winter Jacket
- Asos Dress
- Zara Faux Leather Skirt
Shoes
Depending on the severity of the weather report, I will choose between sneakers and something heavier, like Dr. Martens. But it’s imperative, that shoes remain comfortable throughout the whole trip – gone are the days of blisters for the sake of fashion!
- Nike Jordan 1 Low
- Dr. Martens Boots
Other Travel Essentials
The packing basis should always be a good carry-on luggage. Depending on the type of trip, I choose between a trolley and a backpack. I have a great GOTbag backpack that fits everything and I’m currently searching for a new trolley and have been eyeing the Nortvi one. Will keep you posted.
A few other necessities are a smaller crossbody bag (for the documents and phone), a mag-safe wallet (to always have documents and cards on hand), glasses (to actually see where you’re going), a tumbler (to always have water on hand and avoid plastic) and of course some headphones to entertain yourself.
