When asked about my next trip destination, I get laughed at a lot. Seriously, Rome, again? Isn’t it boring already for you? Well, some choose Croatian coast for their annual vacation spot, I choose Rome. Somehow, I can’t imagine summer without exploring Italian cities. Believe it or not, I always find fresh spots to explore, no matter how many times I’ve been to the city.
I often get asked what pulls me to Rome so much. But how would you simply describe the energy so powerful, that calms your anxiety the minute you land? The city that fills the batteries in the matter of seconds, with its positive vibe. The chaos here calms my soul, that’s the best description I can give you. It’s the rituals, like reading on Spanish steps and visiting the Colosseum at every waking hour. Writing essays like this on random museum’s steps.
Being able to come here so often is so satisfying. No trip is the same as the previous one. So many stories written here. So many first steps taken here, adventures experienced, people met. There’s also a joke going around about finding my prince charming here. And even though I kind of doubt that, I’m still finding italians more charming every time I come here. ♥
