As you’re reading this, I will be long gone. Gone under Rome’s influence. It’s what this city does to me, every time. Puts me under some kind of love spell. You would think that after all this time it would loose its charm for me, but it doesn’t seem like I will become immune to it anytime soon.
It’s magical, I tell you. No music can be louder than the traffic I get in my little room here, yet I get more relaxed with every car that drives by. Funny, right? Rome never sleeps, never leaves you bored and certainly never leaves you hungry. Also, I believe it has its own temperature system, because 22 degrees here are a lot warmer than the 22 degrees we experience in Ljubljana!
And, as you continue on with this post, I will be out, prancing around this magnificent town of mine, taking in all of its beauty. In between all of the coffee and gelato, I will also make time to play a tourist. I’ve seen all the big attractions, countless times, and I am planning on seeing them a hundred times more. I will be visiting the local art galleries. Take a trip to the sea. Do some cheeky vintage shopping. Buy a good book, sit on some steps and not move for next few hours. I think I will even get some tan while doing all that! And most importantly, I will exhale. I will leave Rome on Saturday regenerated, alive, calm and filled with Roman energy. ♥
