I am a person of habits. Often I prefer routine over spontaneity, at least when it comes to everyday life. My list of tiny rituals is very long, but here are few, that keep me sane. ♥
Mornings on the stairs
There is something very therapeutic in sitting on the ground, drinking coffee or just quietly observing the surroundings. Sadly, it’s mostly weekend only, since I’m hitting the snooze button like crazy on work days.
My love for music is no secret – I walk around with headphones glued to my ears. It represents a barrier from the real world. That way, I am the one choosing soundtrack to my own movie!
Sort of happened once, twice and then it became our mini tradition – one Friday a month, we officially schedule a dinner at our local Indian restaurant, turn off our phones (except for instagram ofc), order lots of food, tea, mango lassis and burfis and have a night to ourselves. Just like therapy, but so much more fun!
After a week of constantly being surrounded with people, my introvert self need some time alone. That means no socializing at least one day of the weekend. Spending time by myself fills me with new energy and chance to process everything that happened past week.
