Past few weeks I was feeling kinda low, not really feeling good in my skin. As this is crucial for a happy life, I decided to do something about it. Used to do this with some shopping, a new cute dress or shoes usually did the trick, but this time I chose a way that’s gonna (hopefully) last a little longer.
Being more active and changing my food. Well, I’m not talking about some strict diet or anything, just being a little more cautious what I put into my mouth (I’m too big of a chocoholic to give all up). As for being active, past year I was enrolled in a Krav Maga “class”, which I talked about before, but with everything going on, I stopped training. Now I found something even more awesome and maybe more up my alley. Women boxing! I’m choosing brutal things, I know.
But seriously, this is the best! It’s hard and I curse myself every time I’m there, but thank myself every time I come home. I found it to be very relaxing punching a boxing bag, I love it. I always pick something negative that’s happening at the moment and let it out on the bag. That way you get to be aggressive and get all the negative stuff out of your system. Hopefully soon, it will also show on the outside, you know, bikini season is coming…
That’s why I challenged myself to also do something at home. It’s squats, crunches and planks challenge. Usually it’s just one out of three, but I found 30 days plan that involves all of them. I posted it on Instagram, so if anyone want to do it too, feel free to use it! I’m now on a day 13 and so far it goes great!
As far as eating goes, I am just trying to stay away from McDonald’s, kebabs and all the other junk food, drink enough water and eat more veggies and less ice cream. Of course, there are days when I stuff my face with everything I see and it wasn’t even a plan to do a strict diet, I just want to slowly change my eating habits from “just eat everything I see” (which means chocolate and carbs), to “have something good for your health once in a while” (as said, more veggies and healthy stuff). I love eating out and treat myself, opting for more heavy, caloric food, but I just recently realized healthy can be yummy as well.
